Although the live version of Hive App is only approaching it’s second month in the iTunes app store, the team has been hard at work refining the app even further. We’ve been carefully examining the user experience and feedback from the 2,000+ downloads we have received so far. While we certainly have the music fans in mind, we also are excited to roll out new features for artists, since we want to continue to advance their music careers.
So what exactly are we up to?
Though we can’t share images of the slick updated design quite yet, we can share some of the features we are building. One of the features is a new type of discovery section filled with playlists created specifically for Hive from artists, record labels, music companies, music festivals, and the Hive team. This will be a great way to see the new music others are listening to and also give the artists a chance to be easily accessible. Plus, the user can add any of the songs to their personal playlists from these playlists as well. Along with that, we are also working on some tools and data packages for artist, labels, and festivals – all focused on helping connect the most talented early-stage artists to others in the industry.
We are also working on an Android version of the Hive App as well. We’ve had too many people asking when it will come out to ignore building it. We are happy to say it is very near done, but we still need to test and work out a few kinks – just know it is coming. You can sign up here to get on the Android list.
Initially, some of these updates and new app features were to be in place earlier this week, but we did not want to rush the product out and have any bugs. We want to make sure the user is having the best experience possible right from the start. Stay tuned!
